About me

A third-generation Altona boy Peter was brought up with Real Estate in his blood, his father being ex-mayor of Altona and local builder Harry Weaver. Peter earnt his pocket money cleaning up building sites and working for his father. With a lifetime of experience in property in the area and completing his full license in 2008, Peter has a wealth of knowledge at your disposal. Peter stands proudly behind his reputation in local Real Estate and local family name.

Peter (Pete to just about everyone) has worked in real estate since 2004. His no nonsense, no BS, always positive, kind and considerate approach to real estate business and his clients, has made him into a bit of a local iconic character. Pete knows just about everyone locally and a stroll with him down the street reveals just how many people say hi and stop for a chat. The most common comment Pete gets when conducting open inspections or dealing with vendors is “Wow. You’re really not like a real estate agent”. We assume this to be a big compliment!

Peter has teamed up with Mark Thompson, the founder of Compass Estate Agents and is now a co-director. Pete and Mark both grew up in Altona, both have/had fathers who worked locally in construction and plumbing for many years and coincidentally, both lived in Japan and married Japanese girls. Not so coincidentally, they both have a deep fondness for all things Japan. The Weaver and Thompson families have been inextricably linked for over 55 years.
